Mats4U announce Westerdale Racing Sponsorship

Mats4U are delighted to announce the sponsorship of Westerdale Racing for the 2019 season. Paul Westerdale will be taking part in the National Superstock 1000 championship, part of the British Superbike Series (BSB) and will carry the Mats4U branding around 12 rounds of the finest race tracks in Britain.

 

Testing has already started ahead of the season, with the first race being held at Silverstone on 18^th April. This represents a big step up in class for Paul and we’re proud to support him in his bid for success at the higher level.

 

Mats4U and Westerdale Racing – A force reunited

Mats4U and Westerdale Racing have a bit of history back in March 2013. At the time, Paul was racing in the Thundersport GB Motodex Pre-National Sport 600. The Mats4U team went along to the final race day at Donnington Park that season and witnessed a flawless performance by Paul. He managed a clean sweep of 4 race victories to help him claim 3^rd place overall in the 2013 championship. We were delighted to witness Paul’s success and the start of a true champion!

Back then Mats4U supplied Westerdale Racing with a premium branded paddock mat, to give the team professional branding on race days.

 

 

4 years later, Westerdale racing have rebranded for the coming season and the new mat displays the stunning camouflage print design to match their brand.

 

 

Paul Westerdale commented:

‘With the Silverstone test last week came the return of an old sponsor of mine - Mats4U. Mark O’Sullivan, GM at Mats4U, and the team sponsored me in my rookie season at Thundersport five years ago, providing me with a stunning paddock mat for my bike.

We have always made an effort to be as well presented as possible and the custom printed mat really helped us to stand out in the paddock, with a lot of very jealous competitors opting to get their own printed.

Having made a big effort in this off season to update the Westerdale Racing brand we felt it was time to get our old faithful mat replaced, and after a quick chat with Mark we came to a new arrangement for Mats4U to support us again in the coming season.

After a record turnaround, our new mat was delivered within a week and all set for the opening test at Silverstone. It seems that mat technology has moved on a lot since our last old faithful and I’m really impressed with the print quality and sharpness we managed to get into the design.

I’m also reliably informed that the mat is harder wearing and can be cleaned with a conventional carpet cleaner in event of those inevitable paddock spills, so we should be looking sharp and bright for some time to come!

We are hugely grateful to Mats4U for their support in 2019 and can’t wait to have everything all dressed and ready in the awning come the first round of the season.’
